In business and in life, we are often inspired in some way or another to do the things we do. Each of us has something that inspires us, be it a friend, a goal, a dream, or even a Mother. As many of us reflect this time of year on the inspiration that comes from our Mothers, the focus of the newsletter this month is inspiration.
Often the success story of another can provide the inspiration you need to achieve your goals. With the recent update of the success story submittal process in the Success Center, we thought it would be a good time to outline some of the features and functionality of the new process. We have made it even easier for you to submit great stories. You now have the ability to add audio, video, or images to your story.
"Submit a Success Story" is active in the navigation pane on the left side of your screen when logged in to the Success Center:
After clicking on "Submit a Success Story", you will be taken to the submittal page. Here you will find a few short instructions and a check-list to guide you through the process of submitting your story.
Here you can title your story (a), tell your story (b), and add an image, audio, or video to your story (c). We have also provided several text editing tools so you can fine-tune the look and feel of your story. When you are satisfied with your story, click the "Next" button:
If you wish, you may call the number provided and record a voice testimonial in place of or to compliment your story, then click the "Next" button.
When you see the "Thank You!" page, you have successfully submitted your story!
If you need help deciding how or what to include in your story, here are a few tips:
- Tell us your name, your coach's name, the program you are in, when you joined Prosper, and why you joined Prosper.
- What you have learned, and how it has helped you-you may want to include specific examples such as sales, deals, trades, profits, amount of debt eliminated, your debt-free date, savings, or anything positive you have accomplished since joining.
- Some of the best and most inspirational stories submitted use a "before and after" format. This allows you to share where you came from and what you have achieved.
- Keep your story short, concise, and accurate.
If you have experienced success thus far in your program, take the opportunity now to submit a success story. Your message may be just the thing someone else needs to hear to inspire and motivate them. Additionally, as you record your thoughts and successes, you may be reminded of those things that inspired you and helped you to achieve and succeed. In addition, you may want to check out the "Success Stories" page of the Success Center to receive inspiration from the accomplishments of others.

Success Story:
I Am Energized and Can't Wait to Find More Deals!!
I was unemployed for almost a year. I had been researching online business opportunities when I came across the Dolf De Roos Real Estate website. I signed up and kept searching. Several months later I was contacted by Prosper. My husband and I were invited to participate in the Real Estate Investing Program and OH MY GOSH!!!! I just bought two properties yesterday! I only intended to view several properties and find one to make an offer on. After spending the better part of a day with a Real Estate Agent in a small resort town I had not yet worked, I found a great deal and made an offer of $70,000 on a single family residence that had been listed for $124,900. The offer was accepted and we closed the deal with a short sale. I will be renting this home out while rehabbing it for approximately $40,000, and I intend to put it back on the market in 6-12 months, asking around $195,000. That same afternoon an opportunity was presented to me to purchase another single family residence on a short sale. I offered $40,000 for a home that was listed for $84,900. The offer was accepted and I will be leasing this home with an option to purchase. My husband and I are so pleased we can now help out two families. Just two weeks ago I purchased a single family home for $15,000 and will wholesale this property, anticipating a profit of approximately $5,000 to $10,000. I just wanted to say that I am extremely happy right now with all of this activity. The reassurance and mentoring from my coach has inspired me and kept me focused to break through and accomplish these sales. I am energized and can't wait to find more deals!!! Thank YOU Prosper!!!
