Finding Good Stocks

Your success or failure as a stock market investor will depend, in large part, on your ability to find and take advantage of good stocks. Finding good stocks takes practice. You need to practice analyzing stocks and overcoming your fear of failure. Take advantage of the resources available to help you out.

There are many resources available on the Internet to help you find good stocks. Some of the most popular websites for fundamental first-time analysis of stocks are www.glance.net, www.moneycentral.msn.com, www.optionsexpress.com, www.stockcharts.com, and www.yahoo.com.

If you go to www.glance.net, for example, you can click on the button labeled "top rated stocks". This brings up a list of the current top rated stocks on the market. The list will be sorted by volume, which means it is easier to scan through the stocks on the top of the list. You can also click on the different grades of stocks. You can also filter for different options and fine-tune your list by choosing different options to click on the different websites. Look for key words such as "screener" because it means that they have a calculator that will sift through stocks for you, eliminating a great deal of work.

On www.optionsexpress.com, it will take you through a list of options that you simply fill in according to the type of stock you are looking for. For example, there are boxes to click that are called stock criteria, volume, dividend percentage, time range, and average rating.

On www.stockcharts.com there is a space where you can type in a symbol of your choice and it will take you to a special chart. Within the information at the bottom of the chart, there will be several buttons. Click on the one that says "stock scans". It gives a collection of current market patterns and indicators.

If you choose www.yahoo.com, they have different links for different topics, and the one you want to choose is "finance". Find the section dealing with investments, and within that section there will be an area with information on stock research. It will give you stock reports and the screener filter. This website also gives you the option to filter for criteria, conditions, and values. There are also options such as sales growth estimators and earnings growth by month or year. The options allow you to get pretty specific with what you are looking for. You can save your screen as well so you won't have to search through all the options and reset it to find that particular page.

Trading Partner

I am a full-time commodities trader with an inconsistent track record. Joining this program has given me a trading partner. When I have made unsuccessful trades in the past, I haven't had anyone to support me or help me get back on track. I feel comfortable now that my trading will be consistent with a coach and a great team to back me up with my decision-making. I can increase my monetary objectives, and help my family with their needs. I'm really pumped-up. I traded a silver contract on my first week and earned $3,800 dollars. I'm ready for more!

Tip of the Month

Recently, we had the correction that we were expecting and it was one of the shortest in recent memory. The market has formed a nice double bottom and has come out of it nicely. Expectations up to this point are looking good which should give the market some more upside till the summer months.

We also had the farm planting report come out, and this year there are more acres planted with corn than we have seen since 1944. This is because of the up and coming bio diesel industry. This has caused the rise of the agricultural chemicals sector. It has been one of the fastest moving sectors for a few months now. Planting all those acres requires a lot of fertilizer. The summer months are approaching and we are starting to see the summer Cyclicals rising. Keep an eye on the beverage, hotels, and movie production, trucking, and auto parts sectors. These have recently started to move and should continue moving for the next couple of months. Thanks for your continued support and happy trading!
