Prosper News: April 2008

Dear Student,

Spring has sprung and so has the opportunity for some spring cleaning! In the traditional sense, warmer weather sets the stage to clean up our yards, clear the vents, and swap wardrobes for a new season. This is also a great time to find motivation in every aspect of life as the increase in sunshine, fresh air, and daylight hours dispel the winter blues.

Now is the time to revisit the goals you made upon starting this program, and to organize your priorities for the coming season. As you evaluate what you have accomplished in the past months, look for ways to clean up your plan to make accomplishing your goals more realistic for you. Just as spring melts away snow and gives new insight into what was below all winter, spring is also an excellent time to step back and see what habits and mindsets have been blocking your progression and happiness. Take charge of your plan and clean out any unwanted habits, mindsets, or unimportant distractions.

The best way to eliminate bad habits is to replace them with positive behavior. For parents who have ever told a child not to act in a certain way, you know they will come up with another behavior that might be equally frustrating. It is much easier for the child to understand if you give them a specific task to do. The same happens when we're training ourselves as adults to accomplish something important to us. As we find habits that force us off course, it's important to replace any bad habits with new positive actions.

So as you swap out your wardrobes and enjoy the fresh air this spring, take time to sit down and evaluate how your habits over the past months have either helped or deterred you from reaching your goals. Then make a plan to swap out the deterring habits with new positive practices instead.

At Prosper, we are always striving to clean up and make improvements as well. You may have noticed that we have recently made several upgrades to the Success Center. We are pleased to announce yet another upgrade—a portal for submitting your Success Stories online.

You can now log in to the Success Center, click "Submit a Success Story", and submit your Success Story online. When you submit a story through the Success Center, you also have the ability to upload an image, an audio clip, or a video clip to go along with your story. This improvement should save you time, provide you with additional tools for submitting great stories, and allow you to share inspiring stories to help others.

We also strive to improve the newsletter each month. We want to again thank those that participated in our recent survey. We are now in the process of evaluating your comments and feedback and determining future enhancements for the newsletter. Stay tuned each month for the updates and improvements.

As the weather changes, we hope you look around and find ways to reduce clutter in your life or business. Let the newness of spring help you spring into action. Take advantage of the season, and get busy achieving your goals.

Sincerely,

The Success Team at Prosper
